Waiver Agreement
By submitting this form and checking the box below, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Participation & Eligibility
- I am 18 years of age or older.
- I am voluntarily participating in the DSTNC Social Ride on August 3, 2025.
- I understand this is a self-supported, non-competitive group ride conducted on public roads.
- Assumption of Risk
- I understand that cycling carries inherent risks of injury or death, including accidents, road hazards, weather, equipment failure, and physical exertion.
- I accept these risks, including those caused by ordinary negligence by DSTNC or its affiliates.
- Equipment, Fitness & Self-Support
- My bicycle is in safe, working condition and complies with California law.
- I will wear a CPSC-certified helmet.
- I am responsible for my own mechanical support, water, nutrition, and tools.
- I am physically capable of completing the ride.
- Ride Conduct & Safety
- I will follow all California traffic laws and group ride etiquette.
- I will not wear headphones or behave in a way that endangers others.
- I will be respectful to other riders and the public.
- I understand DSTNC may remove participants acting in an unsafe or disruptive manner.
- Insurance
- I understand DSTNC does not provide insurance for this ride.
- I am responsible for obtaining any personal or liability insurance I may require.
- Media & Photography
- I grant DSTNC permission to use any photos or video captured during the ride that may include my image or likeness, for promotional or editorial purposes.
- Release of Liability & Indemnity
- I release and hold harmless DSTNC, its team, sponsors, and affiliates from liability for injury, death, or loss arising from this event—except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- I agree to indemnify DSTNC against any claims resulting from my actions during the ride.
- Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of California, and any disputes shall be resolved in San Francisco County.
